Day 641 - Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, Finland
An Unexpected Visit to a Winter Wonderland
We spent the late morning and early afternoon looking for the dog sledding camp we had learned about. We had the name, Älaskero right, but not an exact address and after driving 25 miles ended up in the middle of a National Park, but no dogs!
The views turned out to be stunning so I tromped around in the snow and took some pictures, but we never did find the camp. Dark was setting in at 2:30 in the afternoon so we started heading back through the snow to Levi.
Pix of the place where we got lost (some true Christmas cards), and a couple of non-flying reindeer we came across. The next day we’d give the search for the dog sledding camp another try.
