Day 637 - Narvik, Norway to Boden, Sweden
Heading to Finland
Another bus back to Narvik where we will pick up a train to the Swedish-Finnish border. But first we will need to stop in the small town of Boden. Breathtaking mountains and lakes. Spectacular roasted haddock dinner at Narvik’s well known Fiskehallen Restaurant. Be sure to visit.
Train to Boden
Make it by train from Narvik to the remote town of Boden. Along the way a fascinating Tunisian doctor travel through Europe alone. A fine man named Ayoub or Job in English. Spent hours talking with him and getting his views on the fighting in Israel and Gaza. And spent time with a security guard and motorcycle enthusiast named Helen who pointed at that a town the train passed through named Kiruna was being moved lock stock and barrel because coal mining was cause the town to collapse.
Remarkable views of snow encrusted forests as the big train roared across northern Sweden.
Made it to Boden for the night.
